I presume you're shooting Canon if you need a slave flash. Damn a polarizer would be nice, shame 77mm polarizers are even more expensive...

spent nothing on myself
... unless spending money to fix the 32 counts :P in which case i bought some Genuine Nismo 3 piece sidekirts, and the Genuine bonnet/boot lips.

but, i did get
a 16gb Ipod Nano and Lunatik watch strap

and my choice of a driving day :D
hard choice though, i've got it down to GT-R, Lambo or V8 Touring car (i have no interest in the Porsche, Aston, R8, Ferrari options...)

V8 touring car sounds the most awesome though.

This place still lives?
While I didn't actually buy anything specifically for Christmas, I did get a bunch of crap this month...
A body, some wheels, and some tires for my 1/10 scale HPI Nitro RS4 3 Evo, along with the 1/8 scale figure of Milla Maxwell from Tales of Xillia next to it:

I also got this 1/10 scale HPI Nitro RS4 MT2 from a friend. Waiting on a body for it tho...

Also got a bunch of random parts for both HPI's and my micro R/C helicopter...

mail service here never tells you anything, they just flat out steal your stuff

its either them, or the customs office guys who screw up. No wonder any brazilian with enough working brain cells to be educated wants to ditch this shithole

Looks like there's a striking similarity between our countries, although to be fair we've got it easier although it's still a place you'd want to ditch as soon as possible.

I got myself one of these, got and built actually as it was a kit.

Don't mind the mess, it was just a temp position and this room is basically a dust generator...

Title: Re: Christmas: The Damage Series
Post by: C1Rob on January 06, 2015, 11:35:05 AM
jeally! Have been wanting to build one for 6 years now, just dont have the room to place it anywhere :\

Is it a prusa I3 type?

Im really interested in the Delta type lately.

Title: Re: Christmas: The Damage Series
Post by: The Dark Shadow on January 06, 2015, 12:10:03 PM
Yep i3 stock other than an E3D V6 hotend, Delta printers are pretty awesome although you need a good board to drive them as the Arduino can't keep up with the computations at high speeds thus making them not much faster than a Cartesian printer, with a good board though they can easily outpace the material print speed limits.

Right now I'm designing a bunch of mods for it to make mine better like cable chains, adjustable entstop holders (mostly for the Z axis), and other stuff.

It's pretty convenient to have and if you print fairly often it pays itself quite quickly compared to using Shapeways or the like, I've done a bunch of prints already and if I had used Shapeways I would've already paid for 1/3 of the printer.

Yea i really want it for the practicallity aswell. My GF would love to have one aswell so we could build one together. Just need to make the room. Think im gonna start soon, we will just have to make room :P

Title: Re: Christmas: The Damage Series
Post by: The Dark Shadow on January 06, 2015, 01:19:13 PM
If you have about 45x40cm free it should fit (the Prusa i3 at least) give it 50x45 to have a bit of room and you are golden.

Also once you have a kit you can always rebuild it into a Delta or other design as you can print the parts first then re-use the motors and other stuff, I'm planning to do that at some point.

Its a tube DAC(digital-analogue converter) and a normal amp. The DAC allows the amp to be connected to the PC and "replaces" the onboard audio/ audio card = less interferance from parts inside the machine = better sound quality.

Its hard to find cheap headphone amps etc and i though this was nice cause it has a tube which allows me to tweak the sound by switching out the tube when/ if i want to (and have more experience :P).

It was 150 euros which is not expensive as most others are well over 200 euros :P

And for now im just gonna use it for the pc. The tube DAC section also only works when USB is used as an input, it gets bypassed when using analogue inputs)

TBH, i'm reaching that age were i dunno what i would get for myself to be considered a christmas present...

Yea I have that abit aswell... And i got the crew aswell, its fun for awhile. Def need to play it with a wheel though...

Merry Jeebus birthday and happy +1yr everybody!

I got myself Dirt Rally, MGSV Ground Zeroes, MGSV The Phantom Pain and Shadow of Mordor, also Super Meat Boy because why not for less than 1.5 euros.

Here's some decent driving (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fsqg1H98rw) and some bad driving (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjGdLxM8KhA) in Dirt Rally, quite fun game, really well made especially the sounds.

Oh yes, and I got a pair of LBW models on pre-order from the same company as well. A 458 and an Aventador.

And welcome to the land of Vita-dom... or something. Sometimes I remote play my PS4 from work because why the hell not lol...

that's one of the reasons i wanted a vita,
the remote play isnt bad at all, although with fallout's muted colors it was a little bit hard to discern who was/wasn't an enemy.
good for racing games though :)

So, what you guys feed internal kid this year?

Besides games, which i don't count anymore since steam and bundled packages make easy to hoard that kind of stuff,  I got a new carry box for my dremel, and a corsair H105 watercooler for my pc.

Well, the damage was heavy this year.

Finally got myself a 3D printer. Bought a Set A8 via Gearbest.
Really happy with it!

Also bought my brother's old Xbox one. It has a rattling HDD and he bought a One S but this one still works fine. And bought Forza horizon 3 to go with it.

Also received my massdrop Sennheiser hd6xx headphones, but I order those way back in oktober i believe, so those do t count...
