if the scene at racedepartment is anything to go on, soooooomebody needs to get back into it... :p seems like everything posted there is nothing, a re-hash, or converted.

what'd the 500 come out of?

like what manufacturer's bike is it?
and it actually has torque to move your car quickly?
...or do you have like 15 gears?

Honda NSR GP (before MotoGP bike turned to 4 strokes engines) engine it should have around 120/130Nm which is plenty for me as the AZ-1 has 85Nm stock and mine is lighter than stock, so no biggie moving the car with this engine.
It's a 6 six gears by the way.

what sorts stratospheric revs does it turn?

idunno.. i read over the rules and didn't see anything that said anything that specified type of engine.. just a displacement rule..

i think they were left like that intentionally, since tds wrote the rules and i just spliced in bits from the 2.5 twinturbo R competition.

that way he could NSR while we K6A.

also, with ~12 kg/m, what kinda gearing/final drive/weight are you aiming for?

seems like you'd have to be pretty much near the redline all the time with short gears to go anywhere...

i havent seen my engine, so i might be talking trash and have the same amount of torques... but i think mine might be a relative bonecrusher with about 20 or so kg/m and a 4.7-5.1 final and maybe 700-880kg overall weight. i think i might be running a longitudinally oriented K6A with "powered" driven front wheels since if it's 4WD it'll likely be rear biased.

although, it would be fun to keep the diff up front with a transverse engine...

I actually have no idea, that and I choose the engine more on the "be different" factor, that and I love 2 stroke engines.
Since my max file for the AZ-1 is corrupted all by itself somehow I think I'll start over with another car alltogether.
