Why would a shader be difficult? You could easily make different layers/textures for the shiny stuff and the dirt...

basically, the shaders are controlled by the alpha channel of the texture, so if its white, your going to get an mirror like surface, and if its black your going to get a dull surface, you would just need to paint on the apha where the variations in shineyness were.

the only thing that could be an issue, if you have a huge amount of variation in the shinyness, if it would slow down the computer, since i t would have to render each pixel of the texture individual, but since i havent ported it to the new beta, i wouldnt know.

or i could sell out... and release it with no dirt (which wont happen Tongue)
