Oh noes!
For fun, RE turbo G, me, and several others have come to the conclusion to start a little competition to see who can make a 550 km/h (341+ mph) road car.

Teh rules:
Vehicle must be of your own design, and atleast look like it could be street-driven
any air channels on top of the body can be a maximum of six inches deep. any more, and a cover panel will need to be placed into said gap to make it legal.
No wannabe race car clones (LMP, F1, etc)
Four wheels
No exposed suspension or any other "technical parts" every piece of the car must be enclosed.
REAL fenders attached to the body (no Prowler type "fenders")
One engine
Wheel driven (no using thrust from jet engines)
Two seats, one for the driver and one for the passenger.
no auxillary wings (ex. C-West GT2) all wings must be integrated (MC12 street, 996 GT-1 street, GLK-GTR street, NSX, etc.)
head and tail lights
Turn signals
A license plate

you also need atleast SOME technical data to prove your car can do what you say it can.

You can use just about any engine you want. From a V24 to a turbine engine. As long as the car itself can be driven on the road. Also it doesn't have to meet any crash/pollution laws

Interesting concept Venom, I wasn't expecting to see something very close to a Group C/LM prototype - reminds me of the Allard J2X, GT-One. Nice.

Can one of the seats be similar to the back seats in an rx7; ie. there to make it eligible? I don't think fullsize people fit in those seats.

the aliens say: you need 2 actual seats.. /radioactive ninja edit.

Lol, and I have no idea how a maglev car would work....
*Venom slaps some sence into Endo

Anyway a update. As you can tell I have a disturbing mix of road going race car and fighter jet  Grin
I guess the fact that I have been working on a 1/48 scale model plane recently helps with ideas  Tongue

Venom just wondering, but where are you going to fit that third seat? As you sead that there has to be atleast two seats for passengers.. so that makes 3 seats.

Best way to aproach this would be the mclaren styled positioning...i guess.

It should have said one seat for the driver, and one for the passenger. So two seats total.  Wink
