Hello to all,
after more then one year of membership in here, I thought I could start a topic to show about my modelling skills and cars that hopefully one day be in Racer.
The most of them are just the pure bodies without interior and without anything like .ini

I would put a bit more of rubber on those rims, just for the looks, as the size of them are somewhat good o my personal taste. Also, a tip, try getting screenshots with lighter body colors, it makes easier to notice the mesh details and problems, thus giving us a better judgment of the model Smiley

And now another picture of the S2000 in Light Gray without a reflection map. I know there are bumps, but in the moment, for me there is no demand an smoothening out the Flatshade.

Currently I

ahh, much better now. The s2k is looking good indeed. what it would do is add some more polys on the upper side intake, near the botom off it. It would get rid of some wobbly reflections. The rest is pretty much good as far i can tel.

as for the levin, it seems that once in life everyone's gotta model a one Tongue it seems going good aswell, once you get more of it pls post it Smiley

The model looks pretty good from those pics. Might be worth to go 3D with the headlights though, compare the effect with endo's version for example, it's more convincing.
Nice to see a zenki model as well, though I'm pretty sure that the temperature controlled grille only came on the kouki models - this one should have the regular slit version (endo correct me if I'm wrong, I can only go from the reference pics and the brochures).

judging by the front bumper and tails its a zenki model, but with a kouki plastic grill.

I think the grills were... 5 slats or temp control on the zenki, and plastic grill or plastic grill with fogs for the kouki.

depends if the plan is to be pure stock, since the grills were pretty much interchangeable. (personally the coupe i was working on, had the grill with fogs, and white line tails)

but, i agree with cosmo on the light thing, one because modelled is allways nice for detail, but also because the glass of the lights angle towards the front of the car following the natural curve of the front, and the actual light reflectors are recessed back, and fairly straight.

this is a good picture showing the angle of the lights.

the textures youre using though are pretty nice, especially the tails.
